My name is Kat and I started Zombie Freakfest for the fun of it and to encourage myself to make more zombie art and to put my film minor to use. I have written at least 100 film reviews for class assignments but not a single one of my own accord before this blog. It’s amazing how quickly you can get burned out. I plan to use my snooty analytically film training and “spell check” tools to review shows, movies and possibly books.
I am also a big fan (and by proximity, family member of*) Cheezburger/Memebase/Failblog. My twisted sense of humor and my love of Zombies can only produce a mess of hilarity with this partnership.
I currently live in Colorado in an a-frame cabin in the woods. Me, my boyfriend asnd our pets have been traveling the U.S. full time in a travel trailer since October 2009. We stopped off in Colorado for a 6 7 month stay for the experience and to get used to the cold (as this environment would make it very difficult for zombies to get around. Have you tried running in 3 feet of snow? have you seen a zombie drive a snowmobile? no). Our next step will probably be an adobe house in the New Mexico desert or back on the road.. or Alaska – or all the above.
We have one cat, Susa Ataris, and a mouse named Trevor who lived in our trailer, but fell out a hole in the floor at too young an age to survive in the wild.
* My boyfriend works for Cheezburger.
